Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (the “Policy”) governs your access to and use of Snug, including our website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the “Service”), operated by Snug Technology, Inc. (“Snug,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to this Policy. It works alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. If you violate this Policy, we may suspend or permanently remove your access, and where required by law, report your conduct to the appropriate authorities.

We take these rules seriously because Snug is built on trust and safety. The community depends on everyone holding to the same standard.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the Service. Snug is intended solely for adults seeking genuine connection.

• We do not permit anyone under the age of 18 to access, register for, or use the Service under any circumstances.

• If we learn that a user is under 18, we will terminate the account immediately.

• You may not create an account on behalf of a minor or allow a minor to use your account.

• You must provide accurate age and identity information. Misrepresenting your age is a violation of this Policy.

Snug has zero tolerance for any content, conduct, or communication that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers minors. This is the most serious category in this Policy and carries no exceptions.

The following are strictly prohibited:

• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form, including images, video, text, drawings, or computer-generated content.

• Any attempt to solicit, groom, or engage a minor in sexual or romantic communication.

• Content or conduct that sexualizes minors, including depictions of individuals who appear to be minors.

• Sharing, requesting, or facilitating access to any of the above.

We report suspected child sexual exploitation to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to law enforcement as required by law. Accounts involved in this conduct are permanently banned and referred to authorities.

You may not post, share, upload, or transmit content that is or contains:

• Sexually explicit material. Nudity, pornographic content, or sexually explicit images or descriptions in profiles, photos, messages, or any other part of the Service.

• Non-consensual intimate content. Intimate or sexual images or recordings of any person shared without that person’s consent, including so-called “revenge porn.”

• Sexual violence. Content that depicts, promotes, glorifies, or incites sexual assault, coercion, or abuse.

• Hate and harassment. Content that harasses, threatens, degrades, or promotes violence or hatred against any person or group based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic.

• Violence and threats. Threats of harm, incitement to violence, or content that glorifies violence.

• Self-harm content. Content that promotes or encourages suicide, self-harm, or disordered eating.

• Illegal content. Content that is unlawful or that promotes illegal activity, including the sale of drugs, weapons, or other regulated or prohibited goods.

• Deceptive or impersonating content. Fake profiles, impersonation of another person, stolen photos, or any misrepresentation of your identity.

You may not use the Service to:

• Engage in or facilitate illegal activity of any kind.

• Solicit, advertise, or arrange commercial sexual services. Snug is a dating service, not a platform for escorting, prostitution, sugar arrangements, or any exchange of money or goods for sexual or romantic activity. This is prohibited regardless of how it is framed.

• Facilitate human trafficking or sex trafficking. Any conduct that recruits, transports, harbors, or exploits any person for labor or sexual purposes is strictly prohibited and will be reported to authorities.

• Defraud or scam other users. This includes romance scams, financial fraud, phishing, requests for money or financial information, investment or cryptocurrency schemes, and any attempt to deceive users for financial or personal gain.

• Harass, stalk, threaten, or abuse other users, on or off the platform.

• Distribute spam or unsolicited promotional content, or use the Service for commercial recruiting or advertising.

• Circumvent safety systems, including creating new accounts after a ban, evading blocks, or interfering with our moderation.

• Collect or misuse others’ data, including scraping, harvesting personal information, or sharing another user’s private information without consent.

• Interfere with the Service, including introducing malware, attempting unauthorized access, or disrupting our systems.

You are responsible for the activity that occurs under your account. You agree to:

• Keep your login credentials secure and not share your account.

• Provide truthful information about your identity, age, and intentions.

• Use the Service for its intended purpose: finding genuine connection.

Creating multiple accounts, using the Service on behalf of someone else, or misrepresenting who you are are all violations of this Policy.

If you encounter content or conduct that violates this Policy, please report it. We review reports and act on them.

To report suspected child sexual exploitation directly, you may also contact the NCMEC CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org or 1-800-843-5678.

If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services.

We enforce this Policy actively. Depending on the severity of the violation, we may:

• Remove content.

• Issue a warning.

• Suspend or restrict account access.

• Permanently ban the account.

• Report the conduct to law enforcement or relevant authorities.

We reserve the right to take action at our discretion, including for conduct that violates the spirit of this Policy even where it is not explicitly listed. Serious violations, particularly those involving minors, trafficking, non-consensual content, or fraud, result in immediate permanent removal and, where appropriate, referral to authorities.

We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the Service, the law, or our safety practices. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify users. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
